A conversion of 3 Grade A Listed townhouses, formally a chemistry school, into a luxury hotel comprising 47 bedrooms, 2 function rooms, bar & dining area and outdoor terrace; this project threw up its challenges, however the resultant hotel speaks for itself.

We worked closely with the Listed Buildings department at the council throughout this project to create the spaces required for the hotel while maintaining the historic integrity of the building and restoring previously damaged original features. The formation of openings between the townhouses at ground level to allow free movement between buildings was fundamental for the proposed use. Each bedroom also required its own ensuite which needed to be delicately incorporated, along with associated drainage, within the existing spaces.
