The culmination of a comprehensive facility appraisal carried out by Total E&P UK, throughout which Covell Matthews Architects provided architectural support and design, with the purpose of identifying a new base of operations for the company. The brief called for a high quality, contemporary office workspace that would accommodate the practical requirements of Total E&P UK and create a dynamic environment focused on interaction. This existing facility consisted of a main office building with separate archive storage and leisure buildings. The office building was comprehensively re-designed and re-fitted, while the archive storage building was converted to offices and a new glazed ‘link’ building created to ensure full connectivity within the office facility. Covell Matthews Architects role incorporated architecture, interior design and space planning, as well as specifying and tendering FF&E.
