A new build developement on a previously contaminated brownfield site comprising 34 affordable appartments for varying needs.
The development is situated adjacent to a busy main road therefore much design consideration was given to accoustics and placemaking. The design focuses on a central courtyard. CMA were novated to the Contractor under a design and Build fixed cost contract. CMA redesigned the project to comply with Building Regulations and revised the specification to reduce maintenance and increase thermal efficiency. An additional storey was acheieved by innovative interpretation of the Building Regulations.
